TuscanTeam proposes the chance to enjoy our Chianti Sunset Vineyard Dinner. We have decided to create a special and small Sunset Vineyard Dinner every week from mid May to October. The goal was to recreate with 2 of our team members and friends a memorable “cena toscana al fresco” (tuscan outdoor dinner), sipping Chianti wines, sampling local Tuscan dishes, listening to music, being in company, while you watch the Chianti sunset over the Tuscan vineyards by Andrea’s pool.

Who’s Andrea ? Don’t you know him yet ? He is one of the best Tuscan Team members and dinner is prepared and served by the staff of Andrea, also known as “a man from Chianti”. We’ve been working with Andrea since 2001, who was born and raised in Vagliagli a nearby chianti village. Andrea is a local cook and runs his family-run cooking business to create the most delectable, to-die-for tuscan menus. He presents a variety of delicious Tuscan specialties, as sophisticated as they are simple. You may find handmade Pici with antique grains flour (low gluten content) and tiny bites of mouth-watering chianina meat “peposo” (enriched with a generous dose of minced black pepper). The Sunset Vineyard Dinner menu is unique to the evening and changes at each dinner, and substitutes are available for vegetarians, gluten-free and any other special requests.

A complete table setting embellished with tablecloths, cutlery and wine tasting glasses, is worthy of a beautiful Tuscan Sunset Vineyard Dinner Experience by the pool.

Our night begins with an aperitivo at the Oliviera Winery, while watching the sun goes down and snapping pictures. As the sky begins to darken and the blue night begins, we walk 5 minutes to join Andrea’s Villa, sit down on a long table laid under twinkling fairy-lights and our real Sunset Vineyard Dinner dream come true! Thus begins the meal with a delicious starter before proceeding to primo piatto samplings and secondo.

The Sunset Vineyard Dinner prepared by the brilliant Andrea is cooked using an excellent selection of very local ingredients. All dishes are perfectly cooked respecting the local tradition and are beautifully presented in classic style – the cuisine here has a strong local influence with no chances our Tuscan dishes betray traditional roots. Then wine selection is also excellent, with a pleasing number of Chianti wines available by the glass. As the vineyard dinner lingers on, finishing up with dessert. It will be an evening to remember… and to repeat!
