One of the advantages of the private One-Day experience is that, whenever location and road access allow, the classic cars can be delivered directly to your hotel, villa or countryside accommodation. Important Driving Information
The classic cars are provided with the insurance coverage required for the rental. Each vehicle is subject to an insurance excess (damage liability) that must be guaranteed by the driver. Depending on the selected classic car, the insurance excess generally ranges from €1,500 to €5,000 per vehicle. The exact amount and applicable rental conditions are confirmed before booking.

Unlike a simple classic car rental, the experience includes route planning, vehicle logistics, group coordination and professional assistance throughout the scheduled driving day.
What is the minimum number of classic cars required?
The One-Day guided experience requires a minimum of three classic cars. Most of our classic convertibles accommodate two guests, making the standard minimum configuration particularly suitable for a private group of approximately six participants.
For one or two cars, we can provide classic car rental, but not the TuscanTeam guided One-Day Tour with pilot car.
Can the classic cars be delivered to our hotel or villa?
Yes. Whenever location, road access and operational logistics allow, the classic cars can be delivered directly to your hotel, villa or countryside accommodation. TuscanTeam evaluates the property and access before confirming delivery, as some countryside properties may be reached by unpaved, narrow or unsuitable roads for certain classic cars.
Is the driving route always the same?
No. One of the key features of the experience is custom itinerary planning according to your departure location. We design the route around your accommodation, available driving time and the surrounding geography, selecting appropriate scenic roads, driving distances and stops.
Depending on where you are staying, the experience can explore Chianti, the Siena countryside, Val d’Orcia or other suitable areas of Tuscany.
Do we drive the classic cars ourselves?
Yes. Each couple or pair drives their own classic Italian car. Your TuscanTeam Tour Manager leads the group in a separate pilot car, coordinating navigation, timing and scheduled stops throughout the day.
Are the classic cars manual or automatic?
Our Italian classic cars from the 1960s and 1970s are predominantly manual transmission. Drivers should therefore be confident and experienced driving a manual car. A vehicle introduction and driving briefing are provided before departure.
What driving licence do I need?
Drivers must hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle. Guests travelling from outside the European Union may also need an International Driving Permit (IDP) or an official translation of their licence, depending on the country where the licence was issued and applicable Italian requirements.
For guests travelling from the United States, we recommend obtaining an IDP before travelling and carrying it together with the original US driving licence. Specific driver and documentation requirements are confirmed before booking.
Is a TuscanTeam Tour Manager included?
Yes. A professional TuscanTeam Tour Manager and pilot car are included throughout the scheduled driving experience. The Tour Manager leads the route and coordinates driving times and planned stops, allowing the group to concentrate on the cars and the journey rather than navigation.
Is a mechanic included during the tour?
For the standard three-car configuration, a dedicated mechanic does not normally accompany the group. For larger private groups travelling with multiple classic cars, the operational setup includes additional technical support according to the size of the group, with a dedicated mechanic, support vehicle and spare classic car.
This provides additional assistance and continuity during larger multi-car driving experiences.
What happens if one of the classic cars has a mechanical problem?
Classic cars are historic vehicles and occasional mechanical issues can occur. The level of technical support is organised according to the size and configuration of the group. For larger multi-car tours, a mechanic and spare classic car accompany the experience, allowing technical problems to be addressed while minimising disruption to the journey.
Are lunch and winery visits included?
No. Lunch, winery visits and wine tastings are not included in the standard One-Day Tour price. They can be incorporated into the custom itinerary on request and quoted separately according to your preferences, departure location and available driving time. This allows us to select experiences that work naturally with the route rather than requiring every group to follow the same programme.
Is fuel included?
Yes. Fuel for the scheduled driving itinerary is included in the One-Day Classic Car Tour.

The guided One-Day Classic Car Tour is not available for a single car and requires a minimum of three classic cars. Couples or smaller parties interested in making classic-car driving a central part of their journey can instead consider our 3-Day Dolce Vita Classic Car Tour, combining two driving days with two nights in the Tuscan countryside.
